Tuning
A piano that is tuned every 6 months can cost as little as 70$. A piano that is tuned annually will cost 85$ to 90$. A piano that has not been tuned in recent years will can sometimes cost double or triple these numbers. It all depends on how well the piano’s pin block held the strings. If the piano has not been tuned in a very long time, and during this time, it was: played frequently, moved, or kept in a location that has unstable climate control. It is most likely very far out of tune, in which case, a proper tuning will take much longer to perform, hence it will be more expensive. Keep you piano tuned regularly. It is cheaper in the long run. The piano’s structure depends on the tension of the strings. If it looses tension for prolonged periods of time, the piano’s structure can fail in ways that are incredibly expensive to repair.
